The bubonic plague (Black Death) of the 16-17th century killed 25 million people in Europe (a 3rd of the world’s population then), smallpox killed 500 million people within a century (up to the 20th century), the Spanish flu affected 500 million and killed 50 million people in 1918-19.
Hence, it is clear that the coronavirus is not the worse pandemic to hit the world. Yet, the Bible predicts pestilences, wars, natural disasters, etc. as we near the end. Surely, the worst is yet to come?

When the Jews chanted that eternal curse, “May His blood be on us and on our children” to Pilate, little did they know the doom they were calling on themselves. Yet, Christ had predicted this in Matt. 24. In AD70, a few years after His death, Caesar (Nero and later, Vespasian), whom they chose as their King, sent an army under Titus, and razed Jerusalem to the ground. According to Flavius Josephus, the Jewish Historian (The Jewish Wars), 2 million Jews perished in the carnage. Torrents of blood wetted the streets amidst a pool of human corpses that eventually vapourised into flames. Mount Oliveth was filled with crucifixion such that there was no space or tree to crucify again.
The rest were sold into perpetual slavery in Europe and North Africa. So scattered the Jews, until Hitler, Himmler, and Goebbels decimated 16 million from Kristallnacht to the end of World War II in concentration camps at Auschwitz, Dachau, Breslau, etc… until Lord Balfour, granted them an unstable home again, in Palestine in 1948.

Do you need further evidence to believe that the Bible’s prophecies are damn accurate and are always fulfilled? Noah was called a conspiracy theorist until the world was drenched in flood. The silence of God has emboldened men in Heaven-daring sins and unimaginable blasphemy. Men act and speak with reckless abandon, filling the world with the darkest of evils that called forth divine wrath on our forebears. Hence, the Spirit and fear of God are fast leaving the Earth, and Satan and his hordes, are filling the void, plaguing humanity with disease, unending wars, famine, bloodshed, and inhumanity.

The Christians who heeded Christ’s prophecy fled Jerusalem before its destruction to Pela, modern-day Jordan, and none perished. Similarly, those who obey and follow Bible prophecy and keep God’s word shall be spared the impending doom.

The sun has set, another Sabbath is here, Heaven is come to Earth: may the peace of God and His everlasting mercies, love, and blessings fill our homes as we rest from our labours, raising our voices in song and praise to Him! Happy day!!
