The world is in turmoil. Society is at a crossroad. The older generation is giving way to the newer generation with swift changes. Finance, politics, religion, culture, diseases, the climate, are seeing rapid changes. Here, we provide thought-provoking insights into the current and impending crises facing the world.

    She loved Him to death

The deep love of Mary of Magdala for Jesus Christ has been twisted by many. Yet, her devotion and love for Him were more than what many take love for. He saved her life, and raised her brother from death. Her love for Him, was proportionate to His mercy for her. She loved much, because she was forgiven much.

Behold how she loved Him, that she ventured to His gravestone alone, without anyone to roll the stone away for her. Such a young woman, yet she braved the bushy paths and the darkness of dawn to anoint the dead body of her LORD.

So heartbroken to see an empty tomb and too teary-eyed to behold Him, she mistook Him for a gardener and pled for His body that she may carry it alone to her brother’s empty tomb…at Bethany.

She poured out her soul unto Him by sacrificing her all to buy Him an alabaster box of costly ointment. She anointed His head with this rich perfume in the presence of His enemies. She wept at His feet, kissed and wiped His feet with her tears and hair.

Jesus raises Lazarus, the brother of Mary Magdalene, from the grave after four days.

Oh what love is this? Can a mortal man love GOD so, unto death? Oh LORD, let us love thee like Mary Magdalene. Why not: behold, He saved her from her murderers, redeemed her from seven (7) demons, resurrected her rotting brother, Lazarus, and slept in their house.

Can we appreciate God’s forgiveness, pardon, mercy, and love like Mary Magdalene? Can we present our bodies as a living sacrifice unto Him? Can we watch at His tomb and stand for Him before His enemies? If we are as grateful as Mary Magdalene, we shall love Christ as she did!

“Therefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” (Luke 7:47)
Jesus turned Mary from a whore to a saint.
