The world is at a crossroads and life as we know it is changing forever. The world is going from bad to worse, in terms of health, ecology, morality, government, religion, sexuality, politics, etc. I know many people are waiting for a time when things will return to normal. I am sorry, the Bible proffers no such good news in these times. Why do I say so?
Coronavirus mutations are increasing, making vaccines less effective. Just this week, highly mutated coronavirus variant BA.2.86 of omicron, has been spreading through North America and Europe. It is feared that it will infect a lot of people, including the vaccinated and unvaccinated. Just when Ebola, which has been spreading through Central Africa was controlled around January in Uganda this year (2023), Marburg, a virus that is very similar to Ebola, reared its ugly head in July 2023 in Equatorial Guinea. Notably, Marburg and Ebola have similar symptoms and they both occurred in Central Africa.
Droughts and famine are already present in Madagascar, Ethiopia’s Tigray region, Kenya, Somalia, Yemen, Syria, some parts of India, and Afghanistan. For several months now, locust swarms have been inundating Eastern, Northern, and Southern Africa and parts of the Middle East, throwing millions of investments into “insects’ dung” and causing untold hardship and food shortages. Although global warming has been trumpeted into our ears ad nauseam, massive snow falls in Europe and America last winter have made life a burden for many. In Texas and California, it caused massive blackouts for more than 3-5 days!
Recently, Bill Gates invested🪙 in a company that is inventing a means to block the sun’s rays from reaching the Earth, thus reducing the Earth’s temperature. Meanwhile, current statistics show increasing volcanic activity and earthquakes year-on-year. Further, a single volcanic eruption can envelop the whole Earth in smoke, fumes, dust, and darkness. An underwater volcano that went off in Tonga in 2022 almost wiped out the Pacific island nation. The smoke, gas, and dust that was pushed out by this volcano blocked the sun for days and the huge noise could be heard thousands of miles away in Australia and parts of America. It was one of the biggest volcanic eruptions in recorded history. Detonating underwater with the force of 100 Hiroshima bombs, the blast sent millions of tons of water vapor high into the atmosphere. What can man do to stop such a volcanic eruption or its ramifications?
As the Earth tears apart and forests and topsoils are being depleted, no one seems to care to know why. We only expect things to return to business as usual. Has it occurred to us that these are but the signs of the end times predicted in Matthew 24 by Jesus Christ?
Recently, Joe Biden gave an ultimatum to governments around the globe to either give freedom to LGBTQs or face economic sanctions from the USA🇺🇸. Do you know that conversion therapy, in which persons who are trying to stop being gay seek medical, religious, or psychological treatment, is banned in Australia, Canada, some parts of the EU, and the US? Meanwhile, laws upon laws are being made to either coerce or indirectly induce innocent kids to change their sex or adopt LGBTQ practices, even if against the parents’ will.
Obviously, the world is embracing🫂 Heaven-daring sins with impunity and brazenly persecuting those who dare to stand for their faith and beliefs! The time is here when true Bible-believing Christians will have to either “shape up or ship out”. Laws upon Laws have banned religion and prayers in schools, and it will soon attempt to ban religion in homes and churches too. Verily verily did Christ predict that “also as it was in the days of Lot,… Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-37). Are these not signs of Christ’s imminent return then? Was sodomy not legalized and so common in Sodom and Gomorrah? Is it not becoming the order of the day in our time?
Need we further evidence that we are becoming Sodom and Gomorrah and that we are in the days of Noah? Has it occurred to us that our departure from God’s Word is visiting on us all these calamities, which will only worsen with our unrepentant evils?
Friends, we are in a tumultuous time in Earth’s history and the very beginning of the end of this beautiful Earth. Christ is even at the door. Therefore, watch, for in such an hour that you least expect it shall He come suddenly. May God save His jewels in these perilous times! A happy peaceful Sabbath to all!
