The forgotten doctrine
Who shall remember your offspring?
When none dare bring
Your piercing truths that loudly ring

Even the Church, from which all truths supposedly spring
With counsels for the erring
Has sent your adherents retiring
From teaching you, who they are subtly tearing

The world has tagged you ‘uninspiring’
Looking down on your defenders as boring
Standing for you has become so trying
When no one seems to be caring
