From Armenia, the three branches of the human race, Japhet (progenitor of modern-day Caucasians, Pacific Islanders and American Indians), Shem (forefather of Middle East, Arabia, and Asian races), and Ham (Father of Africans and portions of people in Arabia and the Middle East) were spread abroad. In Armenia, the whole world spoke one language and Canaan, the descendant of Ham, was prominent because of Nimrod “a great hunter before the Lord”. Nimrod founded major cities under which he grouped and ruled humanity as a world ruler. However, the beginning of his Kingdom was Babel, when he marched the whole of mankind towards Shinar, in present-day Iraq, in the East. At Shinar, he both convinced and coerced humanity to make a tall tower towards Heaven so that should their sins call down another flood, they will escape upwards and be spared!
For several years God tolerated them as they built upwards beyond the clouds, until He could tolerate them no longer. Using a lightening, He broke off the tower. He confused and multiplied their language, creating 1000s of tribes and dispersing mankind in the process. From Babel were the races, tribes, and nations, spread abroad…
Therefore, the division of the world into different languages/tribes, races, and nations is of God and for good reasons: to keep mankind from uniting under one ruler who will usurp authority and influence over all the sons of Adam. Through this provision, the world has been kept from total moral decline and rebellion against God. For ages, many have tried to unite all nations into one Empire under one authority or government, through wars of conquest and diplomacy.
Yet, again and again, God has intervened to keep humanity apart for our own survival on Earth. This tells us, as Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream in Daniel 4(:17), that “This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” This is contrary to what the Deists would want us to believe, that ‘The Lord seeth us not. The Lord hath forsaken the earth.’
As the world moves into its final days, movements to unite all nations, religions, races, and tribes under one authority and government are gaining great momenta! Under ecumenism and the New World Order, globalists and the United Nations are working tooth and nail to rebuild the tower of Babel under a world leader and government.
The Bible calls this leader and global authority the antichrist, the man of sin that sits in the Temple of God showing himself as God (2 Thess. 2:2-4), the little horn that speaks blasphemously (Daniel 7:8,20-21), the 7-headed beast that arises from many waters (Rev. 13:1-8), and mysterious BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (Rev. 17:4-6)!
Even as God destroyed the tower of Babel and scattered humanity, so will He descend, this time, to destroy this last global authority that shall gather the whole world at the Battle of Armageddon (Rev. 16:14-16). This usurper and his hordes shall be overthrown by Jesus into eternal damnation, but He shall save all His saints and carry them on chariots and clouds of fire towards the Eternal City of Light…
