For almost two months (during the Summer of 2020), California is burning into smoke even as I write. Millions are running for dear life, leaving behind houses and wealth. Millions of acreages and 1000s of houses are in ashes. About 30 people have died alongside innumerable wildlife. The air is filled with smoke and devastating heat! The worst fire to devastate the state so far!
Between November 2019 to February 2020, all of Australia was in flames, covering the size of S. Korea, the worst fire in her history! About 40 people died, millions of wildlife perished, and the atmosphere was blanketed with red smoke reaching as far as New Zealand. Millions were displaced as they run for dear life, leaving their homes to the mercy of the fires…
Why are these states burning? Climate change? I beg to differ…why aren’t New Zealand and Mexico burning, when they are also so near?
For three years, a devastating famine rocked Israel, forcing King David to inquire about the cause from the Lord (2 Sam. 21-14) …He was told, that the famine was a punishment to Israel for King Saul’s murder of the Gibeonites, with whom Israel had a peace accord (Joshua 1.16) …so, Jehovah punishes nations for their crimes?
Until recently, the indigenous Aborigines people were treated like animals in Australia. It was legal to rape an Aborigine woman, kill them for their land, and take a license to hunt them like wildlife!…their waterholes were poisoned, and they were given flour, sugar, or bread/cake poisoned with arsenic …they were driven into reserves, refused education, healthcare, decent wages and mingling with ‘humans’…
Likewise, the red Indians in America and Canada (who also suffer from such fires), were sterilized, hunted down, and driven into reserves…being denied a decent living, education, healthcare, and access to ‘humans’…indeed, smallpox was used as a biological weapon to decimate their populations!
Space will not permit me to describe the atrocities of slavery and the use of black men as guinea pigs for syphilis research. For all these crimes, shan’t the Holy Watchers that punished Israel, made Nebuchadnezzar a 7-year beast, and judged Babylon for partying with His Holy cups, also punish these nations? He who avenged Abel on Cain, shan’t He avenge the innocent blood spilled?
Behold, for whatever you do, Jehovah shall require it of you, even from your progeny. He shall avenge it unless you stop and repent. For a Holy Eye is watching all your movements and soon, His Hand shall write on the walls: “mene mene tekel upharsin” (Dan 5.25) when He shall sit to judge us for our crimes…
On this Sabbath, we have a golden opportunity to make peace with Jehovah and avoid His divine wrath that is burning up and is soon to consume the world. May God have mercy, is my prayer.
